Who doesn’t love a good story?
I know I do and always have. That’s what drew me to writing grant and business development proposals many years ago – the fun of telling stories of past successes and potential future accomplishments.
But honestly, it goes back further than that…
I was the kid who always had her nose in a book.
I was the student who opted to write a term paper over taking a final test any time I was given the choice. I find words irresistible. Nothing is more memorable nor makes a point as strongly as a story.

I have always been passionate about the medical and healthcare industry. Once I got over the idea that I had to be a nurse (all those sick people and needles!) I went on and earned my B.S. degree in Health Education. After escaping southern California many years ago and relocating to Colorado where the cost of living was far more reasonable, I went back to school and got my Master’s degree in Public Administration – Healthcare.
I have worked in local, state and federal health agencies as well as nonprofit hospitals and an HMO. Most recently I was a medical writer for one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. And a few years ago I established my own practice as an independent patient advocate helping people navigate the crazy maze of healthcare.
So I know the medical field. I understand how the healthcare industry works and can write about it without wasting your time getting up to speed.
Along the way I also mastered project management and strategic planning. I take a comprehensive, big picture view of your organization and work with you to decide your marketing goals and how I can help you attain them.
